Bovano Trunk Show at Americana Collection
Americana Collection of Traverse City will feature the art of Bovano of Cheshire in a trunk show May 2 - May 31, 2008. The exhibition will include new glass on copper sculptures from Bovano as well as new metallic sculptures by Max Howard Designs.
To open the trunk show the president of Bovano of Cheshire will be at Americana Collection as part of the Downtown Art Walk on Friday, May 2nd from 5 – 9 p.m. Customers who purchase Bovano or Max Howard art pieces on Friday May 2nd through Sunday, May 4th will receive a 10% discount on these art pieces.
The three dimensional art sculptures from Bovano are hand made by American artisans. Copper is sculpted into various intricate shapes. Pulverized glass is layered onto the copper and fired at 1600° F to fuse the glass to the copper. Multiple firings create brilliant and opaque colors that result in a piece of ready-to-hang art. Bovano glass enameled sculptures are known world wide for their excellence in design and craftsmanship.
