Michigan artist Lori Kammeraad will be at Americana Collection on Friday, September 19 from 5-9 pm during the Fall Downtown Art Walk. She specializes in painting a broad range of natural settings on copper. The process is a source of infinite discovery as the patinas react differently to changes in temperature and humidity. The result is a spectacular range of colors and images that make each of her pieces truly one of a kind.

Lori is a Michigan artist who has worked in a variety of mediums for over 30 years. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University. Her studio, Thornapple Designs, is located on the Thornapple River in Grand Rapids. Her work will be on display for your pleasure and purchase during this event. She will be personally available to answer questions about her technique and her unique works of art.

Lori Kammeraad's paintings are represented in over 50 galleries throughout the United States. In October 2008, she will be Artist In Residence at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center in Grand Rapids.
