Becky Thatcher Designs in Traverse City will host a special pearl exhibit and reception in November. A new collection of pearls will be showcased. This collection will include freshwater, South Sea and Tahitian pearls in over ten colors, with sizes and varied shapes evocative of delicate noodle threads, birds in flight and dahlia tubers! Pearls dangling from strands of rough diamond beads, black pearls on ribbon and pearl necklaces featuring fossils, raw and regional stones are some of the ways today’s women and men are redefining the norm for accessorizing with pearls. A documentary on the pearl culturing process in Tahiti and Japan will presented throughout the day. All are welcome to join in this exploration of the topic of cultured pearls.
