For Nick, Kurt and Dale, the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con, the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers…permanently. There’s only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them. Produced by Jay Stern.

Thursday, December 15, 2011
Playing at 3:30 pm
2011/USA/PG-13/90 min
Director: Drake Doremus

“Like Crazy” is about two nice, intelligent people becoming increasingly crazy about each other. It beautifully illustrates how first real love is as thrilling and blissful as it is devastating: when a British college student (Felicity Jones) falls for her American classmate (Anton Yelchin), they embark on a passionate and life-changing journey, only to be separated when she violates the terms of her visa.
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Picture at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and of the Special Jury Prize for Best Actress Felicity Jones, “Like Crazy” depicts both the hopefulness and the heartbreak of love.
“Felicity Jones will break your heart at least once.”
- Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel
“‘Like Crazy’ tells the truth, simply: Love is thrilling.”
- Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly
“A sexy little date movie.”

SENNA
Thursday, December 15, 2011
Playing at 12:45 pm
2010/UK/PG-13/105 min
Director: Asif Kapadia
Cast: Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Frank Williams, Ron Dennis, Viviane Senna, Milton da Silva, Neide Senna, Jackie Stewart, Sid Watkins, Galvao Bueno, Reginaldo Leme, Gerhard Berger, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Jean-Marie Balestre, Michael Schumacher, Bussunda, Rubens Barrichello, Luiz Fernando Lima, Damon Hill, Riccardo Patrese, Bernie Ecclestone
Brazilian Ayrton Senna’s remarkable story, charting his physical and spiritual achievements on the track and off, his quest for perfection, and the mythical status he has since attained, is the subject of “Senna,” a documentary feature that spans the racing legend’s years as an F1 driver, from his opening season in 1984 to his untimely death a decade later. Far more than a film for F1 fans, “Senna” unfolds a remarkable story in a remarkable manner, eschewing many standard documentary techniques in favor of a more cinematic approach that makes full use of astounding footage, much of which is drawn from F1 archives and previously unseen.
In English and Portuguese with English subtitles. Contains some profanity and disturbing images.
“‘Senna’ is what film critics might call a TMSI movie, as in: Trust me, see it.”
- Ann Hornaday, Washington Post
“With such supercharged material under the hood, a magnetic man behind the wheel and a nimble director manning the pits, ‘Senna’ is simply the greatest sports film I have ever seen.”
- Joe Williams, St. Louis Post-Dispatch
“With exemplary use of archival footage, director Asif Kapadia expertly contrasts episodes of adrenaline-rush speed with moments of reflective slow motion to capture the addictive thrill and danger of the sport, as well as the personal values of the humble, spiritual sportsman.”
- Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly
“You don’t have to know or care anything about Formula One auto racing, or ever have heard of the legendary Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna, to become fully drawn into this film’s universe.”
- Andrew O’Hehir, Salon.com
“A documentary with the pace of a thriller, a story of motors and machines that is beyond compelling because of the intensely human story it tells.”
- Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times
“Mr. Senna speaks extensively and eloquently for himself, and reveals himself to be an eminently human hero. He’s thoughtful, even philosophical, about decisions that deprive him of seemingly well-earned victories.”
- Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal
“The film is a remarkable experience on a purely sensory level, and the best of its archival footage – on the track, in private meetings with drivers before the races, from the white-knuckle, over-the-shoulder perspective of Senna himself – is pure gold.”
- Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune
TEST SCREENING: GREEDY LYING BASTARDS
Thursday, December 15, 2011
Test Screening Thursday, December 15 at 5 pm – FREE, with agreement to complete survey and participate in Q&A session
Mark your calendar for this chance to help a film in production reach completion. Filmmakers from around the country have heard about how invaluable the feedback from our audiences has been at previous test screenings — this time, we’re hosting a team working on a feature documentary on the oil industry. Please join us at 5 pm. Attendees will be asked to complete a written survey and to participate in a question and answer session following the film.
About the Film: What happens when an industry has too much power? “Greedy Lying Bastards” presents a searing indictment of the influence, deceit and corruption that defines the fossil fuel industry. From the Gulf Coast to the tiny nation of Tuvalu, from Nigeria and Uganda to Peru and Alaska, filmmaker and political activist Craig Rosebraugh documents the impact of an industry that has continually put profits before people, waged a campaign of lies designed to thwart measures to combat climate change, used its clout to minimize infringing regulations and undermined the political process in the U.S. and abroad. Rosebraugh’s in-depth investigation into the industry took him to five continents and nine countries. “Greedy Lying Bastards” is the disturbing and revealing portrait of what he uncovered on his journey, a tale of devastating consequences. By interweaving the stories of the victims of the Gulf oil spill and the global climate crisis with a look at the practices of fossil fuel companies and the climate change deniers they support, he lays bare the industry’s deliberate pattern of irresponsibility. And, while oil companies worldwide exert undue influence over policies that will protect their revenues, those who speak out against the industry’s reckless practices risk their livelihoods, imprisonment, and in some instances, their lives.
