Ride it....Park it!

Providing an ample amount of bike parking that is covenient and comfortable is a priority for Downtown Traverse City.  Our bike friendly city continues to work with the community and create more opportunities for residents and visitors to ride Downtown.  Bike racks are located on sidewalks in various locations throughout Downtown Traverse City and in the Larry C. Hardy and Old Town Parking Deck. Bike Storage Lockers are located in the both parking decks and can be rented on a daily or long term basis. Please help us preserve our trees and infrastructure by using the bike racks conveniently located throughout the Downtown area.

Whether you live Downtown and need a safe place to store your bike, or you can't find the extra room in your garage this winter, our bike lockers are a great solution to add protection from both the unpredictable Northern Michigan weather and theft.

On-Street Bike Parking

In an effort to provide ample bike parking and showcase the importance of biking, a bike rack has been located in a metered space on East Front Street directly across from Horizon Books. On-street bike parking is encouraged in high demand bike parking areas and is an efficient and inexpensive way to address parking demands. Please use the bike rack and let us know how you would like to see the program expanded. Oh, and no need to pay the meter!
