My Secret Stash & I’m Planty AF Business Owner
My history in commercial and fine art photography led me to touring for many years doing regional art shows large and small, and there came a time when I needed to stay put! My passion has always revolved around small family businesses and brands, and I learned so much from the many makers and artists while on the road.
My sons were in middle and high school when I decided to quit the permanent road trips to open My Secret Stash, and I loved having them be such a formative part of our family business. Community is one of my highest priorities and I’m excited to be as involved as I can.
As DTCA president, I am excited to bring change to the downtown environment for our retail partners.

Mammoth Distilling General Manager
I’m the General Manager of Mammoth Distilling’s Traverse City tasting room. I run the day-to-day operations, lead our team, and make sure every guest has a great experience. I develop drink specials, help design our cocktail menu, lead custom whiskey blending experiences, and play a big role in shaping the vibe of the space. Born and raised in Traverse City, I have a real passion for showcasing everything northern Michigan has to offer. I also handle all of our private and off-site events — from cocktail classes to weddings.

slip. vintage Business Owner
I am the owner of slip. vintage, a vintage clothing store in downtown Traverse City est. 2021. I was raised in Traverse City, and my grandparents had a house out on Old Mission for many years, so my heart obviously belongs to this area. I am a member of the Great Lakes Business Network, raise money and donate to social justice projects, and have made it my goal to build community and connection through my business.

The Little Fleet and Farm Club Business Owner
I have lived full time in Traverse City since 2012. After 10 years in New York City, Allison and I moved our family here for a better quality of life. We opened our first restaurant in Brooklyn in 2006 and have been in love with the hospitality business ever since. We opened The Little Fleet in downtown Traverse City in 2013 and then Farm Club in 2020. The Little Fleet has been the host of so many community events, fundraisers, and smiles over the years. I’m proud to be part of the Traverse City business community.

Contigo Dogs Business Owner
Hi! My name is Stephanie and I own Contigo Dogs here in Traverse City. I started Contigo during the pandemic as a passion project to make high quality hand made goods that are functional and durable for our pets. Six years later, we still make our waterproof, stain and stink resistant collars and leashes in house, as well as carry a variety other small business products from all over the map.
I’m originally from São Paulo, Brasil and have been living in the US for a little more than a decade. I speak 4 languages, and love traveling (especially when that includes our dogs). My favorite time of the year in Northern Michigan has got to be August and September (water is consistently warm enough to swim) but October is a close second because of the beautiful leaf colors.

Amanda Walton is the owner of Toy Harbor, a beloved downtown Traverse City institution that has served the community for over 40 years. She has been a dedicated member of the DTCA Board for the past five years, bringing firsthand small-business experience and a deep commitment to downtown vitality. A longtime Traverse City resident, Amanda is passionate about supporting local businesses and fostering a vibrant, welcoming downtown for residents and visitors alike. Outside of Toy Harbor, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, and making the most of lake life.
