Put on your favorite costume and join us in Downtown Traverse City for a spooktacular afternoon of trick-or-treating, family-friendly activities, festive fun, and plenty of candy. It's the perfect way to celebrate Halloween while exploring your favorite downtown businesses!
Join us for the Downtown Halloween Walk!
Join us for a frightfully fun Halloween adventure! On Saturday, October 25th, from 10 to 11:30am, we’re transforming our downtown into a spooky wonderland. Don your favorite costume, be it scary or sweet, and embark on a candy-filled quest with participating businesses.
When: 4-5:30pm
Who: Fun for all ages
What: Friday Night Live is a perennial local favorite – a block party celebrating community and camaraderie to wind down the summer season. This FREE event features live music and performances, nonprofit organizations providing interactive games, food and beverage vendors, and a variety of entertainment.
Where: From East Front Street to the shops on State Street, West Front, Old Town, and all the side streets in between, candy awaits around every corner. So grab your little ghouls and goblins and get ready to fill your bags with sweet surprises on the Downtown Halloween Walk.
How to Arrive & Where to Park
- Parking: Available at street meters and the Old Town and Larry C. Hardy parking structures. We recommend the accessible and available Old Town deck. For TC Parking Services maps and rates, click here.
- Transit & Trails: BATA’s Bayline shuttle offers a free ride into town. The TART trail also provides easy access for biking, rolling, or walking.
After the walk, extend your stay and explore our downtown. Enjoy a delicious dinner at one of our local eateries, indulge in some fall shopping, or find more entertaining haunts.
Downtown Merchants: Join in the FUN!
We know most of the trick-or-treat traffic naturally flows through the 100 and 200 blocks of Front Street. We can’t guarantee an even flow of trick-or-treaters everywhere, but we’re committed to doing what we can to spread the fun and help families discover all the participating stops.
For those located on the 100 and 200 blocks, thank you for being the heart of the action each year. We’d love your help encouraging families to explore more of downtown, so every participating business gets a little Halloween magic.
