There's nothing quite like the magic of the holidays in Downtown Traverse City. The annual Light Parade transforms downtown into a sparkling winter wonderland as dazzling floats, festive music, community groups, and holiday characters parade through the streets. Whether you're continuing a family tradition or experiencing it for the first time, the Light Parade is the perfect way to celebrate the season and enjoy everything downtown has to offer.

What: The Downtown Traverse City Light Parade is one of the community's most beloved holiday traditions, bringing together families, local businesses, community organizations, and visitors to celebrate the start of the holiday season. Festively decorated floats, marching groups, and illuminated displays fill the streets of downtown, creating a magical evening for all ages. Following the parade, the excitement continues with Santa's official arrival and the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, where the community gathers to light the downtown holiday tree and welcome the season together. 

Where: Front Street.

Front Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between Park and Union Streets.

How to Arrive & Where to Park
