Bringing the Party to the Pavement!

When: 6-9pm

Who: Fun for all ages

What: Friday Night Live is a perennial local favorite – a block party celebrating community and camaraderie to wind down the summer season. This FREE event features live music and performances, nonprofit organizations providing interactive games, food and beverage vendors, and a variety of entertainment.

Where: NEW FOR 2026 – To accommodate more Street Sale vendor participation, pedestrian safety, and clear emergency vehicle access, Front Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for THREE blocks between Union Street and Boardman Avenue on FRIDAY, AUGUST 7. The Larry C. Hardy Parking Structure will be open on the State Street side only. For August 14's event, Front Street will be closed from Union to Park Street.

Details: Come downtown to shop, eat, and enjoy the events taking place on Front Street. Enjoy this walkable event in summer’s third act. The Aug. 7 FNL event will be paired with the all-day Street Sale, so take your shopping bags! The Aug. 14 FNL event will feature plenty of music and opportunities to shake that groove thang.

Just Announced: Sparty Is Coming to Downtown TC!
One of college athletics' most recognizable mascots is headed downtown! Sparty will make a special appearance during Friday Night Live on Friday, Aug. 7, sometime between 6–9pm, roaming Front Street to greet fans, pose for pics, and spread a little Spartan spirit. While you're downtown enjoying the Street Sale, live music, local food & beverage vendors, and family-friendly activities, be sure to keep an eye out. You never know where Sparty might pop up!

How to Arrive & Where to Park

  • Parking: Available at street meters and the Old Town and Larry C. Hardy parking structures. We recommend the accessible and available Old Town deck. For TC Parking Services maps and rates, click here.
